With 105 million people German is the most widely spoken mother tongue in the European Union. Over 80 million people speak German as a second language worldwide. Moreover, German is the second most common language after English to be used on the Internet.
More than eight percent of all pages on the Internet are written in German (to compare – fifty percent of pages are written in English).Together with French, German is the second widely spoken language in the world.
Hamburg is not only the second largest city in Germany, but it also has one of Europe's largest ports with age-long tradition. Furthermore, it is a modern university city. Today, more than 60,000 students and postgraduates study at 4 universities and about 20 technical colleges. Every year new fields of study are introduced at the colleges of Hamburg, so that more and more students from all over the world decide to study in the Hanseatic city.
PRO-UNI Language School is situated in Hamburg. All the teachers at PRO-UNI Language School hold university degrees, they are native speakers, and specially trained in teaching German as a Foreign Language.
